Dr. Asawaeer is trained to comprehensively manage and perform complex coronary interventions including interventions requiring mechanical support and chronic total occlusions (CTO). His special interests include endovascular peripheral interventions including both below and above-knee arterial interventions, chronic venous insufficiency management, and abdominal endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), and management of acute pulmonary embolism percutaneously. He is also board certified in advanced cardiac imaging including cardiac CT and vascular ultrasound interpretation. Dr. Asawaeer manages a wide range of general cardiovascular diseases in his office with great passion and care. 

Dr. Asawaeer served as a clinical assistant professor at Midwestern University and teaching faculty at Canyon Vista medical center in Arizona in 09/2013-5/2017 and was recognized in 2013 as the attending of the year by the internal medicine department. And he received many patients experience champion awards during that time. 

Dr. Asawaeer remains active in medical research and earned The Arizona Clinical & Translational Research (ACTR) post-graduate certificate from The University of Arizona, and Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (IPPCR) certificate from the NIH.
