He practices both General Cardiology and Invasive Electrophysiology and performs procedures such as: Diagnostic coronary angiograms Pacemaker and ICD implantations Radiofrequency catheter ablations for SVT Atrial fibrillation and Ventricular Tachycardia

He also performs lead extractions and the recently approved procedure of Left Atrial Appendage Closure with the Watchman Device. In addition, his office provides stress tests, echocardiograms and vascular studies and laser vein ablations.

Medical Education

After completing Medical School in 1985, Dr. Shah spent 5 years in the UK. The training and experience at a busy tertiary care center ( North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary) was extraordinary by any standards.

He then completed an Internship and residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, New York. He was selected as a Chief Resident and was awarded the Best Teaching Resident Award. He moved to Oklahoma City and completed a Cardiology and an Electrophysiology Fellowship at the University Hospital in Oklahoma City. He stayed on Faculty for three years.

Dr. Shah joined private practice in Fort Worth in 2000. He won the Fort Worth Business Press Health Care Hero Award in 2005. He served as the Program Director for the Cardiology Fellowship from 2006 till December of 2016. He was awarded the Best Teaching Attending Award by the Residents. He has also participated in several Device and Pharmacologic studies.

After 16 years of practice in Fort Worth Dr. Shah joined Fort Worth Heart, PA. With the help of his immediate staff that have been with him for several years and have accompanied him to the new office, and with the support of very talented and skilled partners at the new practice, Dr. Shah continues to provide a high level of technical and compassionate care. With satellite clinics in Weatherford, Granbury and Comanche, we hope to provide both General Cardiology and Electrophysiology services to those communities.
